This is my inspiration for being so green inspired. I like low maintenance modern green plants. This flower shop in the Hillcrest area of San Diego was a bullseye of what I wanted. A small plotted plant here ranged from $40-$75 depending on the plant and type of pot. Clean lines with a hint of color that is subtle yet adda a touch of color to any room...that's what I'm talking about!
I decided to head to Ikea and see if I can find something similar without breaking the bank.

Here are my potted tropical plants. The plants were $1.50 each & 99 cents for the white pots. I am loving the simple but classic designs. So each plant was only $2.50/each! What a deal! I'm goint to keep them indoors. Super low maintenance.

The weather was ideal this weekend so I finally decided to clean out our balcony and throw out all the misc. boxes filled with clothes and misc. items to be donated. We had a work sale a couple of months earlier and I was able to get these chairs for $2 each! I"m planning on buying some cool fabric to recover the chair pads to spice it up a bit, but for now I don't mind it being a simple seating area to relax and unwind. The ikea side tables are old but these can still be bought for $7.99. Plus I added a old brown rug that we don't use anymore (sorry you can't see it in the pic).

These are the pots that I bought. They are selling for 99 cents for the smallest size and they have 2 sizes bigger that cost $2 & $ 2.99 respectively. Being green while saving on some green!

My wannabee green garden on the ledge of my balcony! Garden in the Ghetto.

More pics of the plants. Nothing fancy but it's a little something to make me feel a little more homey!

Upclose pics of my potted plants! Love them! Simple redo with little money spent so I'm a happy frugal customer! Low maintenance, reasonably priced and modern decor....what else can I ask for.
Til' next time!
