I heart West Elm (westelm.com)! So my style, but it's def. not cheap like Ikea! Prices like Ikea are so my style =)
I'm in the process of moving and desperately searching for cool affordable furniture. With my crazy friend Janet I headed to a West Elm store and she must have brought me some Vegas luck, because believe it or not I bought this TV console that retails at $399 for only $70 and the dark chocolate ottoman that retails for $499 for $115.
That's right snatches - this biotch got one hellava steal!
I love HGTV, Design a Star, Home Edition: Extreme Makeover show, etc. Always thinking to myself "I can do that!" I like to think I have "ok" style, but my problem is I like everything, even when it doesn't match or flow. I'm trying to learn to go with a theme, but just like dieting (UGH), I find myself veering off the path and doing my own thing. Not this time...I'm going to try and stick to the colors and keep it clean and simple while avoiding ey. Not to mention trying to do this with a reasonable budget has me busy window shopping online and in the stores!
Right now I'm thinking chocolate brown furniture with burnt orange (rug/decorations,etc) as an accent color. I'm so going to buy a big green plant to bring extra ogygen in. Worst case: My living room looks like a jungle! Still working out the rest, but I'm glad I have some colors in mind! Maybe I'll add some green (cool lime green??)!
