Pablo and I back in 2007 after finishing the Mud Crawl!

Pablo and I before the we got DIRTY! Start of the race!
Muddy Buddy - LOS ANGELES: November 2, 2008
2008 Muddy Buddy Ride & Run Series, a 6-7 mile event with biking, running, obstacles, and of course the infamous mud pit is back! I did this course last year with my friend Pablo. At the time I was in much better shape, but the course still totally kicked my A$$!
Race Description (from the website)
Each race features a 6-7 mile course and 5 obstacles. At the start of the race, one team member will run and one will ride the bike. At the 1st obstacle, the rider will drop the bike, complete the obstacle, and begin running. The runner will arrive, complete the obstacle, find their bike, and begin riding. Teams will continue leapfrogging each other through the entire course. At the end of the race, racers will crawl through the infamous Mud Pit crossing the finish line together!
You have to have 1 bike (mountain bike, not beach cruiser) and it's mandatory for each team member to wear a helmet (you can get one for like $20 at your local sporting store). Lots of running and tough mountain biking under extreme heat. The best part is some people dress up in crazy outfits - ! The energy is intoxicating and to finish the course you have to crawl through the mud pit on your stomach! By the end you will know why they called it MUDDY BUDDY.
Anyone interested? I need to get back in shape STAT! Lemme know!
